Materials used and manufacturing techniques
All the products are manufactured in solid wood, (apart from rare exceptions certified from time to time), air-seasoned and dried till a percentage of inside maximum humidity of 12%. The wood, as per original models, is the typical one of the Mediterranean scrub, used in a variable percentage: walnut, lime, birch, white poplar for front and external parts; beech, ash, fir and poplar for structures, bottoms and backs. Ecological water varnishes are used for the varnishing and finishing of some lines (directly certified on the back of the unit) and biological waxes for their polish. Nitrocellulose varnishes and waxes are used for the other lines. The accessories to complete (handles, knobs, hinges, locks, keys) are in iron, bronze, brass and their alloys. The fabrics T9470, T9471, T9476 and T9477 used for seats of armchairs, small sofas, chairs and benches are Class I fire-resistant. The ceramics are completely hand-made using Tuscan clays. Enamels and colours used in manufacturing are non-toxic : no lead and no cadmium.

Important information before the purchase
Wood is a natural product. Therefore, climatic conditions, different from the ones of the production place, can cause slight settling movements, in some cases. The correct environmental humidity percentage for a perfect equilibrium is 57%. The presence, in time, of small imperfections as knots, differences in the shade of the vein, slight cracks due to small movements of the wood, shrinking of panels and junctions, slight bending of the uprights and planes are not to be considered faults and, therefore, no reason to complain.

Care and maintenance of the product
The best possible way to preserve our articles is to treat the wooden parts with beeswax from time to time, polishing them with a woollen cloth. The use of products with an alcoholic or acid component can damage the structure or the finishing of a unit. Avoid contact with detergents, aggressive or abrasive substances, objects giving off heat. The ceramics can be put into the dishwasher at low temperatures and with non aggressive liquid cleansers though washing up in running water is advisable to keep the brightness of the colours.
